Teachers from across the Shannonside region are being encouraged to take part in a training workshop to welcome Ukrainian children to schools.
The online event is being organised by Athlone and Carrick On Shannon Education Centres and will take place this evening at 7pm.
The training will focus on how to welcome the new students, support them to develop friendships and assist them with language needs.

Education Centre spokesperson John O'Sullivan believes it will a difficult number of months for schools but says inclusion is a priority for teachers.
He's urging all those who work in schools to register for this evening's webinar.
