Local students to benefit from free school books scheme

Students across the Shannonside region are set to benefit from the Free School Books Scheme.

The scheme has been an expanded to the ensure that every child in primary and post-primary education can access essential learning materials at no cost.

Over 13,000 schools in Roscommon are to receive over 2.1 million euro.

1.7 million euro is on to 9,828 schools in Longford while 6,948 schools in Leitrim are to share 1.1 million euro.
