Labour party's Nessa Cosgrove has been speaking with members of Spunout, who voiced their opinions about the cost of living crisis at a meeting held earlier this week.

A Sligo-Leitrim senator is calling for young people's concerns to be addressed in Budget 2026.

Labour party's Nessa Cosgrove has been speaking with members of Spunout, who voiced their opinions about the cost of living crisis at a meeting held earlier this week.

The mental health NGO is calling for an investment of €4.1 billion in affordable student housing, and the allocation of €100 million to community-based and statutory youth mental health services.

It comes as hundreds of students and parents are set to protest the government's decision to hike the college student contribution fee outside Leinster House on Tuesday evening.

They will also call for more supports in the upcoming budget.

Sligo-Leitrim senator Nessa Cosgrove says she can see why young people are choosing to emigrate.
