The HSE has announced radiology services will be updated at a local clinic this month. The long-awaited update of machines at St Joseph's campus in Longford town will be completed by November 27th. Local councillor Peggy Nolan welcomed the announcement, adding that it was a long time coming for the Dublin Road facility.
She said the move will prevent the need for local patients to attend at the Midlands Regional Hospital Mullingar. Speaking to Shannonside Northern Sound News, the Fine Gael councillor did however call for further funding for the maintenance of the building:
