It's claimed Rooskey will get a major boost if a new bus route between Longford and Cavan gets the green light. The National Transport Authority is proposing the seven-day route, which would stop in Clondara, Tarmonbarry, Rooskey, Dromod, Mohill and Carrigallen.
The NTA is looking for people's feedback on the plan by this Sunday. Community activist Rory Doyle is backing the proposal and wants people to make submissions:
