Gardaí are appealing for information following the theft of two beehives in County Roscommon recently. The theft occurred at a property in Deer Park, Boyle between the 20th and 21st of February. Gardaí say that the Beehives were made up of Native Irish Black Bees, with an approximate weight of each hive of 30kgs.
It is believed that the hives were taken by someone with a good knowledge of bee keeping. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Gardaí on 999/112 or by ringing Roscommon Garda Station on (090) 663 8300.
