A number of local domestic, sexual and gender-based violence services locally have been allocated funding.
Today's announcement by Minister for Justice Jim O'Callaghan is part of an €3.2 million allocation in such services.
Athlone Community Services Council CLG, which operates Esker House, has been awarded €15,000, while Athlone Rape Crisis Centre will receive just over €71,200.
Over €62,000 is on the The Domestic Violence Advocacy Service (DVAS), which covers Leitrim.
While Longford Women's Link is to be in receipt of €8,716.
It's hoped the funding will service provision, improving access to supports, and ensuring that survivors of domestic, sexual and gender-based violence can access help when and where they need it.
