County Councils in the Shannonside region have been allocated over €6 million in funding under the Energy Efficiency Retrofit Programme.
It is part of a pot of €140 million that is on the way to local authorities under the scheme.
Locally, Roscommon County Council is to receive €3.7 million, Longford €2.6 million while €700,000 is on the way to Leitrim County Council.
