A local councillor says extra Garda resources are needed in North Roscommon following a recent spate of burglaries. Independent Councillor Valerie Byrne was speaking after another break in the region last weekend. Gardaí are investigating after Elphin Mart was broken into in the early hours of Sunday morning. Substantial damage was caused to the business and property and cash was taken. Cllr Byrne says it's just the latest incident in the area after a house was burgled in recent weeks.
