A local councillor says Longford is "on the up" after a series of positive developments recently. Longford-based Panelto Foods, one of Ireland's leading bread manufacturers, has seen €7 million invested into the facility.
This latest investment brings the company's total investment in facilities and equipment to €40 million since 2018. Founded in 2004 and headquartered in Longford, Panelto Foods employs 370 people across two state-of-the-art bakeries. Local Cllr Seamus Butler says its a positive news story for the local area:
