The removal is taking place today of a Ballaghaderreen man who played a major role in ladies' football. Michael Cunningham died peacefully last Tuesday in Sligo Hospital.
His remains will be brought to St Nathy's Cathedral at 8 o'clock this evening, where his funeral will take tomorrow at 11 o'clock. Local councillor Micheál Frain is paying tribute to the former chairperson of the Roscommon Ladies' Gaelic Football Association:
