A Roscommon councillor says he's in favour of renewable energy once it doesn't have an impact on the local community. There are plans for around 11 wind turbines in the Ballinagare area of West Roscommon.
A Public Information Exhibition on the proposed project will take place at the Ballinagare Health and Leisure Centre next month. Cathaoirleach of Roscommon County Council Liam Callaghan says public consultation is important:
