A local councillor is calling for more occupational therapists for County Leitrim. Cllr Roisin Kenny wants the local authority to write to the HSE to alleviate waiting lists in the county.
She raised a motion at this week’s Ballinamore Municipal District meeting. Cllr Kenny says older people and those with disabilities face long delays in receiving OT reports to process grant applications. The Sinn Féin councillor says grants are crucial for those who want to remain living in their homes safely:
