A local councillor is encouraging people to learn how to perform CPR. A fun run is taking place this Sunday in Athlone in aid of the Irish Heart Foundation.
The event gets underway at 11am starting at the Regional Sports Centre. Cllr John Dolan who is one of the organisers of the event, suffered a cardiac arrest in 2017. He says it's important to continue to raise awareness:
