Small businesses in rural Ireland are facing increasing costs in order to compete with multinational retailers.
That's according to one south Roscommon businesswoman who says she's had to refurbish her shop tin a bid to boost footfall.
Sarah Jane Coffey, the proprietor of Coffey's Bar and Grocery in Lecarrow, says more and more people are choosing bigger towns for shopping.
She's recently made a significant investment in transforming her small shop to offer more products.
