Some Roscommon businesses are not going after shoplifters because of the low chance of a conviction. That's according to Castlerea senator Gareth Scahill, who raised the issue in the Seanad. He says the owner of a local business recently spoke about the deep impact a burglary had on his life and shop. Senator Scahill says no one deserves to feel unsafe in their workplace:
