Bishop of Achonry and Elphin, Kevin Doran, made the comments as he announced a new appointment.

A local bishop says it's becoming more challenging all the time to find priests to fill vacancies in parishes. Bishop of Achonry and Elphin, Kevin Doran, made the comments as he announced a new appointment. Croghan parish priest, Fr Alan Conway, is now also the PP of Ballinameen and Breedogue in north Roscommon.

He'll be in charge of five churches, but he'll be helped by a curate, Fr Alan Mahony. Bishop Doran was asked if Fr Conway would have a big workload:
