LISTEN: Longford Councillor reveals shock after doctors discovered bleed on his brain

A Granard councillor is calling on the HSE to do whatever is necessary to speed up the development of a special scanning centre at Mullingar Regional Hospital.

It's three weeks since PJ Reilly begun to get prolonged headaches, which were the result of a bleed on the brain.

He was admitted to Cavan Regional Hospital over two weeks ago, and the bleed was only discovered through an MRI scan.

PJ Reilly spoke to MaryClaire Grealy about his experience and asks everyone, particularly men, not to ignore what may seem like small health concerns.
