Leitrim County Council will have an extra €4 million to spend on goods and services in the county next year.
It will sign off on a €64 million budget on Monday.
This year, Leitrim council had a budget of €60 million to spend.
For next year, this is set to increase by 6.5 per cent, to €64 million, according to the draft budget document, which will be discussed by councillors at their budget meeting on Monday.
The council has identified several highlights for expenditure in 2026.
It will continue to use the vacant homes refurbishment grant to bring derelict and vacant homes back into use.
€4 million will be spent on this next year, to revitalise towns and villages.
The council will also spend €700,000 on making homes more energy-efficient.
An extra 3 per cent will be spent on upgrading local roads in 2026, compared to this year.
