The government this week announced a further €100 million Fuel Support Subsidy Scheme for farmers, contractors and fisheries.

A local Fianna Fáil councillor says a mini-Budget to address fuel price increases would not be sustainable.

It follows repeated calls from opposition parties for such a measure.
