A Leitrim councillor has renewed her call for the Government to provide funding to a local counselling service. Northwest Stop is a voluntary community-based organisation that works to prevent suicide by informing, educating and promoting positive mental health.
Sinn Féin Cllr Roisin Kenny brought forward a motion to last November's council meeting and has since received a response from Minister Mary Butler. Cllr Kenny says Northwest Stop provides an invaluable service to the people of the region and should be supported:
