A Leitrim councillor is raising concerns about the introduction of fracking into Ireland. Independent councillor Eddie Mitchell says the government has changed its policy on the importation of fracked gas.
He says the government plans to build a Strategic Gas Reserve in Ireland, with a fracked gas import terminal. Councillor Mitchell is a long time anti-fracking campaigner, and says this is very worrying:
