A large crowd attended a Mass and party in Co Roscommon last night as a local canon celebrated 55 years as a priest.
The function was held in Kilmurry, near Castlerea, where Fr Liam Devine lives.
He served in several parishes in Co Roscommon and further afield until he retired in 2022.

He made a very funny speech about his time in the priesthood last night.
Fr Devine is a big Roscommon GAA supporter and writes a weekly column in the Roscommon Herald.
