Large attendance expected at Irish Forest Owners meeting in Carrick tonight

Around €1 billion worth of forestry was knocked down around the country during Storm Éowyn.

The Irish Forest Owners is expecting up to 600 people to attend a public meeting in Carrick-on-Shannon tonight. It's on in the Landmark Hotel at 7 o'clock and is aimed at people who had their forests damaged recently.

Around €1 billion worth of forestry was knocked down around the country during Storm Éowyn. The chairman of the Irish Forest Owners, Derek McCabe, says people are welcome to attend the meeting this evening.
