Justice Minister Charlie Flanagan has said today is a black day for the country in the aftermath of the death of Detective Garda Colm Horkan.

The Fine Gael TD says it was “a heinous act” that had taken Detective Garda Horkan’s life as he was carrying out his duty to keep us safe from harm.
