Jeffrey Donaldson has resigned as leader of the DUP.
The party's chairman has received a letter from Jeffrey Donaldson confirming that he's been charged with allegations of an historical nature. His membership of the party is suspended pending the outcome of the judicial process Gavin Robinson has been appointed as Interim party leader.
Jeffrey Donaldson was the leader of the party in the UK's House of Commons since 2019.
