Gardai in Carrick on Shannon are continuing their investigations into an alleged assault over the weekend.
The incident occurred on Quay Street in the town shortly before 3am on Sunday morning.
The scene was sealed for a number of hours yesterday and Gardai are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.
