Investigations are continuing into an alleged assault in Athlone.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene following report of an incident in the Willow Park area that occurred on Thursday 16th April shortly after midnight.
A man in his twenties was brought to Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore for treatment of injuries believed to be non-life threatening at this time.
