INMO figures show local emergency departments under pressure this morning

Nationally, 403 admitted patients are on trolleys in hospitals this morning.

The emergency department at Mullingar Hospital is under pressure this morning. INMO trolley watch figures report that 11 people are waiting in the ED for a hospital bed. Nationally, 403 admitted patients are on trolleys in hospitals this morning.

The INMO says 105 of those are in University Hospital Limerick, the largest number in the country. That's followed by 48 in University Hospital Galway and 29 in Sligo University Hospital. Of the total number of people waiting for beds, 274 are in emergency departments while 129 are in wards.
