The number of women who live in the Shannonside region who had abortions in Ireland has increased by 47 per cent in the past four years.
The Department of Health says there were 196 from Longford, Leitrim and Roscommon last year - up from 133 in 2020.
The country's near-total ban on abortions was scrapped in 2018 after a referendum.
