The HSE lost 94 million euro last year due to writing off obsolete or out-of-use Covid-19 vaccines.
The Executive's financial statements for 2022 are being scrutinised by the Public Accounts Committee, and found a further 1.7 million euro was written off due to obsolete PPE.
The committee also heard eight consultants earned over half a million euro per year - with one earning over 970-thousand euro.
