Housing and amenities must grow to support new jobs in Leitrim according the County Cathaoirleach. Councillor Paddy O'Rourke has branded today's announcement of 250 new jobs at Freudenberg Medical in Carrick on Shannon as a great day for Leitrim. The Med Tech Company is to add the roles to its existing work force of 700 in the county.
Speaking to Let's Talk today, Councillor O'Rourke stated it's vital that employees be given the opportunity to live in the county and not have to commute. Cllr O'Rourke says that ensuring an increased supply of housing and supports in the county is vital:
