Former Minister Heather Humphries has ruled out a bid for the presidential election. Speaking on the Joe Finnegan Show this morning, the former Cavan-Monaghan TD says she gave it serious thought after opting not to run again for the Dáil.
The Monaghan native served in multiple ministries, most recently as Minister for Social Protection. She says that she is enjoying her time away from politics, and ultimately decided that a bid for the Áras was not the right move for her.
