The long-standing station officer of Ballaghaderreen fire station has announced his retirement from the role. Micheál Frain has served as a retained fire fighter in the area for 26 years.
He took on the role of station officer 20 years ago. Speaking on the JF Show with Eoghan Murphy, Micheál has been looking back with fondness:
