Green Party candidate calls for new sports facilities in Carrick on Shannon

There are calls for more sports and leisure facilities to be developed in Carrick-on-Shannon, including an athletics track. Green Party local elections candidate, Leslie O'Hora, says the town's population has grown to nearly 5,000 and it is doing well business-wise.

But he says the development of sports and leisure infrastructure hasn't kept pace with that. He says the state needs to urgently intervene and invest in these facilities.
