The funeral mass of Gary Lydon has heard of his love of living locally.
The late Mr Lydon, was born in London to Irish parents, before moving to Wexford as a child.
He had been residing in north Roscommon for some time.
Mr Lydon, who was 61 is survived by his sons, Seanluke and James.
Among the items brought to the alter at St. Michael's Church in Cootehall during the funeral mass included a bicycle helmet, oven gloves and a Wexford jersey and flag.
An award-winning actor, he was best known for his role in 'The Banshees of Inisherin' and his appearances in 'Love/Hate' and 'The Clinic'.
The late Mr Lydon also played the character of Bernie in the movie 'Lakelands,' which was shot in Granard.

Interment will take place following mass in Kileenan Cemetery in Cootehall.
