Gardaí in Longford are investigating an assault which took place in the town on Thursday afternoon.
The incident occurred on Ballymahon Street at approximately 1:40pm.
A man aged in his 30s sustained non-life threatening injuries and it's understood he did not receive medical treatment at the scene.
