The Garda Commissioner has confirmed that the cold case review into the death of Leitrim man Liam Farrell has started. The 87-year-old was found dead outside his house in Rooskey in January 2020, with his body severely bloodied and bruised.
Last month Garda Commissioner Justin Kelly asked the Serious Crime Review Team to investigate the case. The Garda Commissioner says that the investigation is likely to take some time before being completed:
