Garda colleagues remember Colm Horkan as "gentleman"

The Longford Roscommon garda division GRA representative Dave Conroy has been paying tribute to the late Detective Garda Colm Horkan.

Speaking on the Lets Talk show this afternoon, Garda Conroy said members in a rural division are policing more in a community based role and events like last nights are obviously not the norm.

He says the Detective Garda is warmly remembered and respected by his colleagues as someone who was a gentleman and always willing to help others in the force.
