Further cold weather could be on the way later this week. It comes as weather warnings were extended across the Shannonside region today. A status yellow low temperature/ ice warning for County Longford and yellow snow-ice warnings for Leitrim and Roscommon were previously issued. They were due to elapse at 11 o'clock this morning but have now been extended.
County Longford is under a status yellow low temperature/ ice warning and Leitrim and Roscommon are under yellow snow-ice warnings. Those warnings will remain in place until 9 o'clock tomorrow morning. Michelle Dillon of Met Éireann says it'll be less wintry tomorrow:
