Funeral details have been announced for former Roscommon and Kilmore footballer, Don Connellan, who passed away yesterday. The Kilmore native was part of the Connacht senior championship winning side of 2001 and held a number of coaching roles with University of Galway and Moycullen GAA. Roscommon GAA Chairperson Brian Carroll has described him as being a top-class gentleman and a true friend to so many.
He will repose at his home in Drumaveg, Moycullen, Co.Galway tomorrow evening from 4pm to 8pm. His funeral mass will take place on Thursday at 12 noon, in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Moycullen with burial taking place afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
