Fundraising appeal launched to return body of Westmeath crash victim to Poland
Marcin Nowosielski lived in Ireland for over a decade

The body of 47-year-old Marcin Nowosielski was found in his vehicle off the R395 at Teevrevagh on Tuesday evening.

A fundraising campaign has been launched to repatriate the body of a Polish man found dead in a crashed car in Castlepollard, Co Westmeath.

The body of 47-year-old Marcin Nowosielski was found in his vehicle off the R395 at Teevrevagh on Tuesday evening.

But gardai believe he may have died around two days earlier, as he was last seen on Sunday.

Almost €6,000 has been raised in a GoFundMe campaign, in an effort to raise money to bring his remains back to Poland.

He had been living in Ireland for the past 13 years and is described as a big football, pool and darts fan, who always had a smile on his face.
