Fine Gael councillor seeks delay to closure of Drumshanbo refugee centre
The Lough Allen Hotel has been a refugee centre for two years

There are concerns the sudden closure will badly affect refugees who work or go to school in the area.

There are calls for the closure of a refugee centre in Drumshanbo to be delayed by at least a month.

The Department of Integration has decided to close the centre at the end of May as it has a significant number of vacancies.
