A group of farmers in Co. Roscommon have decided to write to Bord na Móna ordering a stop to planned works on local bogs. A public meeting was held last night in Ballyleague over concerns farmers land will be flooded. Bord na Móna were due to start rewetting bogs in Mount Dillon and Erenagh on Thursday however it’s now understood it won’t proceed this week. Those who attended the meeting signed a letter stating works shouldn’t start until some conditions are met. Local MEP Ciaran Mullooly says farmers concerns must be listened to:
