Events on across region as Heritage Week 2025 wraps up tonight

Heritage Week 2025 is wrapping up this weekend.
The celebrations kicked off earlier this week with a range of free activities across the Shannonside region.
The final events are happening this evening, with a historical tour of Port Shan Castle in Leitrim Village, and an information event on the long history of Presbyterianism in Co. Longford, both starting at 3pm.

While there will also be an illustrated lecture on the heritage of Lough O'Flynn at Ballinlough, Co. Roscommon, which commences at 6pm.
This year's Heritage Week theme is "Exploring Our Foundations", inviting locals to delve into the building blocks of their cultural and historical roots.
