A parade in commemoration of Leitrim Republican John Joe McGirl is taking place in Ballinamore tomorrow evening.
It starts from The Square at 8 o'clock and makes its way down to the McGirl monument at the other end of the town.
The event received criticism in the past due to McGirl's role as IRA Chief of Staff in the 50s.
The Aughnasheelin native was also a councillor, TD and Vice-President of Sinn Féin.
Sinn Fein TD Martin Kenny described him as a 'legendary Republican' and says the parade is well supported locally.
