€1.5m has been allocated for a new cycleway and walkway on the outskirts of Roscommon town. The news was revealed at Roscommon County Council's annual budget meeting this morning.
The active travel project will be developed between Hannon's Hotel and the Golf Links Road. Independent councillor Anthony Waldron says the project has already got planning - and work is due to start next year:
