A former church in Drumcong, Co Leitrim, could be transformed into a boutique hotel.
The building will be auctioned later this week.
This unique building was built in 1976 by the parish of Kiltubrid, in the era of post-Vatican II.
It was a time when Catholic Ireland had an appetite for new churches and when parishioners dug deep and rose the money to build them.
But the building has been vacant for a long time and is now in poor condition.
On the three wings, there are duplex residential spaces containing four units, two near completion and two under construction.
Two of these spaces have been occupied.
The property will be auctioned by REA Brady on Thursday at 12 noon, with a guide price of €175,000.
The auctioneers say it could have many purposes - including a unique home, a children's play centre and a gym, with an exercise and climbing wall.
It could also revert to its former use as a place worship, or be developed into a spa or retreat, boutique hotel, hostel or the base for a great outdoor activity centre, with Lough Scur and the numerous waterways nearby.
Whichever of these options materialses should become clear after Thursday.
