Drivers urged to watch speed as National Slow Down Day begins

To date in 2021, 113 people have been killed on Irish Roads.

National Slow Down Day is in effect until early tomorrow morning.

The joint campaign by Gardai and the Road Safety Authority is appealing to drivers to reduce their speed and be extra aware on the roads.

Speeding on rural roads is being targeted, with four in five fatalities this year happening on them.
