Tánaiste Leo Varadkar will NOT be prosecuted for leaking a confidential GP contract to a friend of his.
The Director of Public Prosecutions has examined a comprehensive garda file and decided not to prosecute.
The Tánaiste had been investigated for leaking a contract deal struck with the Irish Medical Organisation to Dr Maitiú Ó Tuathail, who was working for a rival GP group at the time.

This evening gardaí confirmed no prosecution will be made in relation to the case.
The Tánaiste is expected to issue a statement this evening.
